Late Breaking News from Sue's Window Box

"Toronto, Ontario...Overnight casualties rose in the continued balcony battle between the impatiens and the clematis. This latest clash over territory and specifically rootspace resulted in the loss of three impatiens as the clematis strove mightily to find the wall. The impatiens have moved to cover in another pot to regroup and refocus their strategy of garden domination. It is unclear how the impatiens died, as they were discovered this morning over coffee when nothing could help. A dousing of Bloom Builder was administered, to no avail.

"It's hard you know, the clematis have really taken root," said a local impatiens who did not wish to be identified. "They're a stronger plant, I have to admit, and have the added bonus of staking as well as being within inches of finding the wall to climb. Still we're optimistic - in terms of sheer numbers we are ahead at least ten to one, and hope that will work in our favour. Now we just have to take some time to mourn and compost our dead."

The clematis could not be reached for comment."
